La Trobe University Hockey Club are excited to announce two major coaching appointments for 2026.
We are proud to announce Gabe Brown as the new Head Coach of the Men’s Section for 2026. Gabe joined the club last season as a player and has previously played with Essendon, bringing a strong playing pedigree that includes representing Victoria at junior state level and being apart of the Premier League squad at Essendon.
We are equally delighted to announce Ed de Salis as our new Head Coach of the Women’s Section. Ed brings extensive coaching experience across Hockey Victoria pathways, having coached multiple Junior State Championship (JSC) sides and has coached junior state teams at the National Championships. He has also had a taste of seniors coaching at club level.
With these two knowledgeable coaches stepping into key leadership roles and a state-of-the-art pavilion now open, our club is entering an exciting new chapter. A meet and greet for both the women and men’s section will be announced shortly, as well as a pre-season calendar.
