We’re extremely proud to field more than 20 teams in the official Hockey Victoria (HV) winter competitions – and our Junior Gunners represent our club with great heart, enjoyment and success.
Our aim is to ensure that everyone gets a game, and as much on-field time as possible. We encourage our families to help us be flexible with selection.

To join one of our teams, you’ll need to:
1. Complete the Club Registration form
2. Complete the Hockey Victoria Registration form + Payment
We’re proud to offer the best-value junior hockey in Melbourne. Other local clubs charge between $65-$200 more than La Trobe.
And if you’re eligible for a Get Active Kids Victoria voucher, let us know. Eligible children may receive up to $200 off membership and registration costs.

UNDER 10s (children born in 2016 or later)
- Mixed, 5-a-side teams, playing in quarter-field games
- Play Sat mornings through Terms 2 & 3, starting early May
- All games at the same time & venue; in Term 2, it’s Greensborough at 9 am
- Fixtures Term 3
- Train Weds 6-7pm
UNDER 12s (children born in 2014 & 2015)
- 2x half-field (7-a-side) teams: one girls-only, one mixed
- Play Sat mornings through Terms 2 & 3, starting early May
- Under 12 Mixed Fixtures
- Under 12 Girls Fixtures Term 3
- Train Weds 6-7pm
UNDER 16s (children born from 2010 to 2013)
- Mixed/Boys, 11-a-side teams, playing in full-field games
- Play Fri evenings through Terms 2 & 3, starting early May
- Under 16 Fixtures
- Train Tues 6-7m
UNDER 18s (children born in 2008 & 2009)
- Mixed, 11-a-side team, playing in full-field games
- Play Fri evenings through Terms 2 & 3, starting early May
- Under 18 Fixtures
- Train Tues 6-7pm
