New Award Announced – Taya Stuart Shield
During Women’s, Girls and Non-Binary Round, there was also an exciting announcement regarding a new women’s award. The Women’s 3s Best and Fairest Award has been named after Taya Stuart. Taya has been at the club for over a decade and is not only a very skillful player who has won many Best & Fairest and premierships, but she has also been Head Coach of the Women’s Vic League squad for three years, as well as being the Assistant Coach previously.
During this time Taya has achieved so much, including increasing the women’s side connection by organising and supporting various community events. Taya recently coached the Women’s 1s team to an undefeated season to lead the women to their first Vic League premiership for 30 years.
