Six Gunners Teams Remain In Finals

After an impressive six teams qualifying for finals this year, La Trobe University Hockey Club is pleased to announce that all six remain in the competition.

A huge weekend at home saw three of our Senior grades at the Cauldron, picking up three wins in the Men’s 6s, Men’s 4s and Women’s 4s. The former and latter proceed straight through to the grand final in two weeks, while the Men’s 4s take on Hawthorn this weekend at Hawthorn.

Earlier in the day the undefeated Under 12s put away a 6-0 win to become the first ever Junior’s team at the club to win a final. Under the two round finals system, they play in the Grand Finals this weekend.

Away from home the Men’s 3s played a tight game against Yarra but couldn’t quite get over the line in a 2-3 defeat. They have a second chance this weekend. Meanwhile the Men’s 45s Masters played last night securing a win and also proceed straight through to the grand final in two weeks.
