2013 Semi Final Results

A huge weekend for the Gunners saw all five of the Senior teams walk away progressing to the next round of Finals.

Two of the Men’s teams secured wins in the Semi Finals, and after finishing first or second on the ladder means they walk straight into the Grand Final in two weeks.

The Men’s 3s (Metro 2) beat Old Carey 3-2 and the Men’s 5s (Metro 3) beat Knox 3-1. Unfortunately while the Men’s 6s (Metro 3) beat Camberwell 3-2, the results were overturned due an adminstration error. However after finishing 2nd on the ladder have the second chance this weekend against Old Carey.

The Women had a tougher weekend but still had reason to celebrate. The Women’s 2s held their ground with a 1-1 draw against Kew, but after finishing third on the ladder progress through to the Preliminary Finals this week. The Women’s 4s couldn’t top top-of-the-ladder Brunswick, but in a strange turn of events after Brunswick failed to submit results on time, progress straight through to the Grand Final in two weeks.

Unfortunately the Vets, playing in their Preliminary Final on Monday night went down 2-1 ending their successful season after finishing top of the ladder.
