Six Teams Hold On In Finals


It was a huge weekend for the Gunners, the first round of finals in three years.

Up first were our Wednesday night Masters. The Women’s 35s beat RMIT 1-0, and after finishing top of the ladder progress straight through to the Grand Final in two weeks. The Men’s 50s knocked over Brunswick 3-0, and will fight for for a spot in the Grand Final against Yarra Valley this week.

On the weekend the Men’s 4s were eliminated against Caroline Springs 0-3, while the Men’s 6s got done as well in a nail-biting 1-2, but have a second chance this weekend against Werribee.

For the Monday night Men’s Open, the boys beat Altona 2-1 and will play Essendon next week for a spot in the final.

And our Juniors finished their final round of the winter season, with two teams qualifying for finals. The Under12 Boys Pennant South East finished second, and the Under 16s Mixed District North West finished fourth.
