The La Trobe University Hockey Club is pleased to welcome Ryan Tout as the 2018 Women’s Head Coach.

Ryan has a decorated history of coaching with 14 years experience, including 9 x State Masters Head Coach, Victorian Under 13s Head Coach (2016), Vic Country Women’s Assisting Coach (2016) and Head Coach (2017), and National Women’s Masters Assistant Coach (2013).

“I came to La Trobe because I saw the potential to grow a strong women’s base into one of the stronger clubs around the area. I like the attraction of gaining players through the University and find the idea of managing students and works an interesting task.”

Ryan says he is looking forward to working across the whole of the Women’s club this year, from VicLeague to Metro. So far he’s found all members of all skill levels interested in learning and growing.

“I believe the Gunners have the potential to grow into a bigger and stronger club.”

Ryan is already putting wins on the board, with strong preseason training numbers and a hugely successful special training hosted by gold medalist Travis Brooks. Ryan has also organised keeper development with a personalised session run by Julia Wood, specialist Goalie Trainer.
