Three Teams Play for Premierships

Three teams will play off in Premiership matches this weekend, after a nail biting knockout game for the Men’s Masters 45s B North/West last night. It was a tough start to the game against Camberwell conceding three goals in the first 15 minutes going into the half 0-3. But an incredible comeback in the second half saw the game finish in a draw and straight into penalty shoot outs under the new rules.

La Trobe dominated putting Camberwell on the back foot and comfortably going through to the Premiership next week where they’ll play Yarra who knocked them out 0-1 in the first final.

Our Men’s Metro B and Men’s Masters 35s B both play this weekend having had this round off after progressing straight through in the first final.

It was a tough weekend for the four other Gunners teams that played, with two of our Juniors teams playing Premierships and both going down. Our Men’s Metro A went down in a well fought match against Melbourne University and the Women’s Pennant D lost against Footscray in shootouts.
