We’re into the second week of the finals fixture for our Seniors and third for Juniors and Masters and pleased to announce the La Trobe University Hockey Club still has four teams in the mix, including at least three who will play in the Premiership Match.
Our Women’s 3s played a very comfortable game against Hawthorn, finishing 4-0 at Home. After finishing top of the ladder, they walk easily into the Grand Final match in two weekends.
Our Men’s 5s had it tougher, finishing second on the ladder playing Doncaster who finished first. The higher team proved too much, with the boys facing a 0-6 defeat. They do however have a second chance and will play this weekend against Old Carey for a chance at the Grand Final.
Meanwhile our Masters 35s team played their second round of finals last night, knocking over Geelong in a 5-2 game. Next week they play in the Grand Final against Powerhouse.
The Under 12s Mixed crew enjoyed their weekend off and will play in the Grand Final this Saturday against Camberwell.
To have all four finals teams still in the mix is an incredible effort, especially coming from all ages (and skill levels) of the club.
