A tough week for the Gunners in the Preliminary Finals saw all three of our contenders go down, now eliminated from Grand Final weekend.
The Women’s 2s played extraordinarily well, but couldn’t hold out a strong Melbourne University going down 1-2. At the Cauldron the Men’s 6s played ‘now rivals’ Old Carey going down 2-7 and the Men’s Masters 35+ also went down to Footscray on Monday night.
Despite the tough weekend, the La Trobe University Hockey Club still has three teams in the mix, all of whom progressed straight through to the Grand Final after winning in the Semi Finals and finishing in the Top 2 positions on the ladder.
The Grand Finals will be held on Saturday the 14th of September, with the club hoping for a back to back to back session.

– Men’s 3s (Metro 2 North) against Old Carey – 12pm Hawthorn
– Men’s 5s (Metro 3 Outer East) against Knox – 4pm Hawthorn
– Women’s 4s (Metro 2 North West) against Parkville – 6pm Footscray
