The La Trobe University Hockey Club has given notice of a Special General Meeting that has been called by the Club Secetary to vote on the proposed changes to the Club’s Constitution.
Date: Thursday 14th November 2013
Venue: Peacock Hotel
The SGM meeting has been called by the La Trobe University Hockey Club Inc. to update its Constitution to conform with the new Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (and its associated regulations) which replaced the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 on 26th November 2012.
Under Rule 3 of our current Constitution the Constitution may only be changed by Special Resolution. A Special Resolution (which requires a 75% of those members who vote either in person or by proxy voting in favour) must be passed at a General Meeting of members. As per the rules of the Constitution, all members have been provided 21 days notice of the General Meeting via electronic mail.
All members are encouraged to attend and exercise their right to vote on the proposed changes.
