It was a huge weekend for La Trobe University Hockey Club, with a record-setting seven teams making the Semi Finals.
A special congratulations to our Women’s teams on the weekend, both of whom were victorious and proceed straight through to the Grand Final in two weeks. The Women’s Metro 2 team defeated Brunswick in a nail-biting 1-0 while the Women’s Metro 4 girls beat Old Yarra Valley Grammar 2-1.
Our Men’s State League 3 team were also successful, beating Greater Dandenong Warriors 4-1 at Footscray, proceeding through to the Preliminary Finals this week, where they will play Casey at the State Netball Hockey Centre at 1:45pm on Sunday.
Unfortunately our Men’s Metro 1 drew against Footscray at Footscray, leaving them to fight Greensborough at Home this week on Saturday at 2pm.
Sad news for our Men’s 3s who lost to Old Melburnians, the Men’s 4s who draw against MHSOB and the Men’s 5s who went down to Geelong. Congratulations boys, a fantastic effort to make finals.
