La Trobe University Hockey Club and Darebin City Council are excited to announce construction on our new pavilion at KP Hardiman Reserve has commenced.

The new pavilion, which will be built next to the pitch, will have gender inclusive changerooms, umpiring changerooms, medical rooms, public toilets, a canteen, kitchen facilities, and social rooms which will look out onto the ground.

Club President Phil Nguyen said: “This will be a game changer for our club, the local and hockey community. Our old rooms are extremely outdated and falling apart, on top of being 100 metres away from our pitch. The lack of appropriate changerooms are a massive barrier for new members joining, particularly juniors and women. We look forward to growing this area of the club and giving all our members facilities where we can thrive on and off the field. It has been a long wait for our club.”

The new pavilion, currently being constructed by Harris HMC, is set to be complete in early 2026. For more information, see Darebin’s Project Redevelopment Plan.
