Record Breaking 12 Teams Make 2019 Finals

A new record has been set in the club’s 52 year history, with 12 teams across Juniors, Seniors and Masters earning a spot in finals this year.

In Juniors the Under 12 Boys Pennant Central North West finished top of the table taking home the minor premiership. The Girls in Under 12s Pennant took home the same honours, as well as a clean sheet winning all twelve games during the year.

The Under 14s too had an incredible season, with both the Girls Pennant North East and the Mixed Pennant North East finishing second on the ladder.

In our Seniors it was a huge year for our Women’s 1s who finished fourth in Vic League 1. The Women’s 4s also finished fourth in Metro B, the first time this team has made finals! The Men’s side of the club sees three teams playing this weekend. The Men’s 3s just scrapped through on goal difference finishing fourth in Pennant F. It was a different story for the Men’s 5s in Metro B who finished as minor premiers conceding only one game for the year and finishing on a score difference of 116. They’ll be joining the Men’s 6s this weekend, who finished fourth in Metro C.

And lastly in our Masters three of the four teams made it through. The Men’s 45s finished second on the ladder in C Central North. The Men’s 50s also had a great season finishing second in B grade. But the real success story is the Women’s 35s, who finished second in their first year in the competition playing in B North West.
