Metro B North/East Premiers 2017
The La Trobe University Hockey Club Men’s 5s finished a rare undefeated season yesterday taking home the 2017 Premiership in Metro B North/East.

Playing against Doncaster at Waverley, the lads were favourites having beaten them three times previously in the season and a draw. The Men’s 5s made their dominance clear early with two tomahawk goals putting Doncaster on the back foot. Not long after the half time they scored twice more including one from a stroke. They didn’t quite walk away with clean sheets after heavy pressure late in the match Doncaster put one through. The final whistle blew finishing the 2017 Premiership match 4-1 to La Trobe.
