Once again the La Trobe University Hockey Club is pleased to announce its ongoing recognition of women and girls within the sport and club with Women’s Round 2014.
Round 12 of the official Hockey Victoria winter season will see the club recognise women within the club and participate in broader initiatives including a Women and Girls breakfast on the 27th of June at Albert Park (men and women are invited to attend).
Since first joining the program in early 2013, the La Trobe University Hockey Club has implemented a number of new initiatives including improved facilities, a more gender balanced Administration, a strong recruitment of girls into our Juniors Program and recognition of the women who have contributed in making the club as successful as it is among others. Today, the La Trobe University Hockey Club has the biggest female membership of any club at the University, now boasting five female senior teams.
Women’s Round, to be held on the 21st of June 2014, is another opportunity to recognise the women at our club and the success they have contributed to. The ‘Super Saturday’ will see both our Men and Women’s 1s and Reserves at The Cauldron (home) followed by a presentation and then the Reverse Raffle in the evening.
