Easter, for many means the coming together of family and love ones. For hockey players on the east coast of Australia, it means it’s time for the annual Albury Easter Hockey Carnival.
This year we aim to send two mixed teams up for the competition.
For all who’ve never been, it’s a three day competition is held in Albury NSW and is roughly a three and a half hour drive from La Trobe, depending on how many times we stop for toilet breaks and Macca’s runs. We play teams similar to La Trobe in terms of hockey and partying skills with events planned on every night with other teams. Last year, we came Runners Up in the Mixed grade.
It’s a great opportunity to meet your fellow La Trobe teammates and have a great weekend away both on and off the field. All skill levels welcome (both hockey and partying).
Cost is roughly $140-180 (includes accommodation, tournament entry, team shirts and red Gunners singlet if you don’t have one and would like one).
