Each year, La Trobe University students and club members record sporting excellence and voluntary contributions whilst participating in sport through La Trobe clubs, Australian University Games and Championships and World University Games. To this end, La Trobe University Sport recognises these performances and contributions under a university sport award called the “Blue Awards”.
The awards have been conducted since 1968 and over 300 students have been recognised for their outstanding performance and contribution to university sport.
We are pleased to announce that in 2010, Club Secretary Sarah Dowling was awarded a Blue Award for Outstanding Service to the La Trobe University Hockey Club.
This is the club’s fifth Blue Award for Outstanding Service.

Greg Van Meeuwen was also awarded a Blue Award for Sporting Excellence in 2007.
Sarah will receive her award on Friday 20th of May at the 2010 Blue Awards Night.
