Pride Round 2019

La Trobe University Hockey Club is pleased to host Pride Round this weekend for the last games of the season.

To celebrate the event, all home Captains will wear rainbow socks to raise awareness and support for the LGBTIQ community within sport.

Pride Cup was first created in 2012 in a local AFL team to help support their team mate, Jason Ball, who came out as gay. His club created a round as a demonstration of them having his back and their commitment to inclusivity. Since 2012, Pride Cup has spread across the country to many different sporting codes.

We invite all members and spectators to bring rainbow food to share with the opposition after the games for the weekend. We will also be selling rainbow coloured shoe laces for $5.
