Men’s 5s 2019 Premiers

Men’s Metro B East Premiers 2019

It was long overdue for the Men’s 5s, having lost in the premiership match last year and being knocked out in finals in 2017. But the 2019 season belonged to the Men’s 5s, who had only one loss and finished the year with a score difference of 119.

The premiership lineup against Doncaster was a tight game, the main rivals in the competition, each game a close one during the home and away season. The game flowed back and forth, with La Trobe controlling most of the play but unable to put one away. Scoring just before the second half, the Gunners maintained their composure and put in two more to finish the year with another flag.

Todd Paulson took home the Best & Fairest at Vote Count tonight, as well as the club’s goal scoring shield.

This is the club’s fifth flag this season, with one more up for grabs in the Men’s Masters 45s, playing tomorrow night.
